Friends! By the time you read this, I’m probably on my way to Atlanta for my event there on Saturday (if you’re nearby, please come!). And from Atlanta, I’ll head to Toronto for an event at the Toronto Public Library on Monday night! I’ve never done events in either of those cities — and I’ve never even been to Toronto! — so I’m very excited for this leg of the Drunk On Love book tour! And then I come back to California for one final event in Napa, which will be full of wine and even more snacks. But also, this newsletter is mostly to send out huge, enormous thanks to all of you who have already bought Drunk On Love, or who have been to any of my events to far — I have loved meeting all of you so very much, and it’s been a true joy to talk about books and romance and everything else with all of you.
A few other quick things:
I was on Today with Hoda and Jenna last Friday! Hoda and Jenna are both so wonderful, and it was a joy to talk to them about Drunk On Love, and to recommend a few other great books: Killers of a Certain Age, The Hookup Plan, On the Rooftop, and The Man Who Could Move Clouds.
I got profiled in the New York Times!
Someone asked me the other day at an event for book recommendations and then said I should put them in my newsletter: my Bookshop lists are a great place to start — I don’t keep them updated as much as I should, but I’ll work on that!
Also, someone asked me at an event what cake would go best with Drunk On Love, which was an amazing question. I talked about a cake that I wrote about in a very old newsletter (so old that it’s from my old newsletter format, and it converted kind of oddly over to this one, but you can still easily read the recipe).
More when I’m back home! Have a great weekend, everyone, and I hope anyone in the path of Hurricane Ian is doing okay.
